Two-piece construction, disk in sterling silver with black shell background, hand-engraved insignia, held in place within a sterling silver frame, maker marked "S&Co" (Sydney and Company, Birmingham), marked with an anchor (made in Birmingham), the British lion and date marked "r" (1916) on the reverse, measuring 25.7 mm in diameter, horizontal pinback, near extremely fine.
