Includes three pieces: jacket, trousers and visor cap.
1. the jacket is fabricated from in brownish-green wool, with a button down shoulder strap on both shoulders, the upper of each strap in brownish-green wool and bearing crossed maces above linden leaves, a gilt star and an Infantry insignia incorporating a star within an open-ended wreath of linden leaves, all of which are secured in place by dual prongs, the three edges of each strap trimmed in a dark yellow cord in a braided pattern, the underside in forest green felt, each of the brass buttons at the neck end bearing crossed swords, the straps representing the rank of Major General. Both collars are adorned with an insignia depicting a branch with a cluster of linden leaves in gilt die-stamped aluminum. The front has two pockets, on either side at the waist, both of which have flaps. There are five badges affixed to the right breast, counter-clockwise from the upper right: an Exemplary Worker Badge, a Soviet Committee of War Veterans Badge, a 46th Army Veterans Badge (who participated in the Liberation of Prague and Vienna), a 38th Army Veterans Badge (who participated in the Western Carpathian Offensive) and a 40th Anniversary of the Second World War Badge, the first badge inscribed in Czech, the latter four badges inscribed in Russian. The left breast has a six-level ribbon bar sewn in place: level one: Order of the Red Flag with clasp; level two: Gold Star of Hero Socilaist Labour, Order of the Red Banner, Czechoslovak War Cross 1939; level three: Czechoslovak War Cross 1939, Order of the Red Star with clasp, Czechoslovak Medal for Bravery before the Enemy; level four: Medal of the Czechoslovak Military Order for Liberty, Czechoslovak Military Commemorative Medal, Dukla Commemorative Medal; level five: Commemorative Medal for the 20th Anniversary of the CSSR Liberation, Czechoslovak Military Medal for Merit, USSR Medal for the LIberation of Prague; level six with four USSR ribbons: Medal for Victory Over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, Medal for the Defence of Leningrad, Jubilee Medal for the 20th Year Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1945-1965, Medal for the 250th Anniversary of Leningrad. The front is completed by four large brass buttons on the right side, each bearing crossed swords, facing four reinforced button holes on the left side. The inside is lined in forest green nylon, with a top entry pocket placed on either side, plus an additional smaller one on the left side near the bottom. Sewn in place on the lining in front of the larger left pocket is the "KRAS BRNO" manufacturer's label, the label bearing crossed swords and the inscription " VYROBA SVRCHNICH ODEVU" (Manufacturer of Outerwear). The sleeves are lined in white nylon and are designed with a series of repeating single and double rules, along with a thin strap sewn in place in the collar to allow for hanging upon a hook. The jacket measures 520 mm across the shoulders x 690 mm in length, exhibiting soiling on the brownish-green wool exterior on the front and on the white nylon of the sleeves;
2. the trousers are also in brownish-green wool, matching that used on the jacket, the fly designed with a series of four brown plastic buttons, with a button closure, in addition to a tab with a reinforced button hole and dual dark button plastic buttons at the waist. It has four pockets, including: deep side-entry pockets on both sides at the front without buttons, the right side pocket with an additional small pocket above incorporating a flap with reinforced button hole and brown plastic button, along with one pocket on the right rear seat with a button hole and brown plastic button, each of the pockets lined in off-white cotton. The exterior has a strap incorporating an adjustable length metal buckle placed on both sides. The outside of each pant leg is trimmed in a thin red embroidered cord flanked by 23 mm wide bands in red felt on either side along the full length of the leg, the pants measuring 680 mm at the waist x 940 mm in length;
3. the visor cap is fabricated from a brownish-green wool on the exterior, featuring the classic high peak, the hidden fabric-wrapped roll frame along with the padding at the front giving definition to the shape of the cap. There is a 36 mm (w) x 37.5 mm (h) Czech Army officer's cap badge on the front, the cap badge with a two-piece construction, with the Socialist Republic coat-of-arms insignia in silvered and gilt aluminum with red and blue enamels, mounted to a gilt aluminum base, the cap badge secured by dual prongs on the underside and flanked by branches of linden leaves in yellow embroidery on either side. There is a 10 mm wide strap in dark yellow cord interlaced with gold-coloured threading in a braided pattern, running across the front, with knots tied at either end. Each of the knots has a thin strap in dark yellow cord interlaced with gold-coloured threading protruding from its far end and is attached to brass buttons on either side, each of the buttons bearing crossed swords. The upper and underside of the stiff visor is in brownish-green wool, the upper with a stylized band across the width of the visor and bearing two clusters of linden leaves in yellow embroidery. The interior incorporates a 40 mm wide lightly soiled light brown leather sweatband, with a smooth-finished upper and raw underside, with eleven large ventilation holes backed by a protective foam pad at the front, the ends of the sweatband stitched together at the rear with white threading, in addition to being marked with an "N" over an "F'" at the seam. It is stamped in blue ink "13113" on the underside at the left rear. The sidewalls and dome are lined in a brownish-green nylon, the clear diamond-shaped "KRAS NARODNI PODNIK BRNO" manufacturer's label stitched in place in the dome, with a paper tag size marked "57" inserted into the naming sleeve on the label. The cap measures 235 mm in width x 267 mm in depth x 135 mm in height.
All pieces feature intact stitching. Better than very fine.
