(Eisernes Kreuz 1914 II. Klasse). Reinstituted 5 August 1914. (1914-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, marked “K.A.G.” (unknown maker) on suspension loop, measuring 42.88 mm (w) x 47.61 mm (h), weighing 16.5 grams, very fine.

A 1914 Iron Cross II Class Award Document to Corporal Max Soll, on cream-coloured paper. The document is numbered “Nr. 689”, stamped and signed. Issued 8 November 1918. Presenting three folding creases, with discolouration, scuffing and tearing throughout. The reverse is taped in eight places. Measuring 210 mm (w) x 166 mm (h), fine.
