Germany, SS. An Early Danziger-Style SS Totenkopf Cap Insignia

(SS Mützenabzeichen). Constructed of a silvered copper alloy, the obverse consisting of an early Danziger-style Totenkopf, the reverse retaining one of two attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 32.28 mm (w) x 29.25 mm (h), weighing 3.3 grams, with most of the silver finish lost, in overall very fine condition.
