$101

This tunic is fabricated from olive green wool and is adorned with shoulder straps, each with a reinforced button hole and held in place by a small bronze button bearing the United States Army eagle insignia. There is a 65 mm in diameter Aviation Mechanic patch in white embroidery on a chocolate brown wool base sewn in place on the upper left sleeve. The front has four pockets, one on each breast, along with one on each side at the waist, each pocket flared at the bottom, the waist pockets slightly wider, all four pockets incorporating a fold over flap with a reinforced button hole and a large bronze button bearing the Army eagle insignia, each of the buttons maker marked "SCOVILL MF'G CO. WATERBURY" on their reverses, as are all the large bronze buttons on the uniform. The front is completed by a vertical row of five large bronze buttons on the right side, facing an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left side. There is a bronze US collar disk secured in place on the right collar via a screwback. The stiff "choker-style" collar has two eye closures on the left side and only one hook closure intact on the right side, each of which has a protective brown cotton patch sewn in place. The inside of the tunic is lined in tawny brown cotton, the sleeves lined in a brownish-green cotton, with a thin strap sewn in place in the collar to allow for hanging upon a hook. The tunic measures 420 mm across the shoulders x 680 mm in length, exhibiting a nice texture in the wool and quality workmanship, however, it displays soiling on the right front side, along with extensive mothing throughout and green oxidation on many of the bronze buttons. Fair.
