A studio photo of an Imperial Russian Army General, with the subject seated in uniform, wearing an Order of the White Eagle, an Order of St. Anne, an Order of St. Alexander Nevsky, and other decorations, above a gold embossed photographer’s mark of “М. КОНАРСКАГО” (“M. KONARSKAGO”) with an address of “ГАЗЕТНЫЙ ПЕР. NO. 6, МОСКВА” (“GAZETNYY STREET N. 6, MOSCOW”), the reverse with a handwritten Russian Cyrillic inscription with a date of 1898 and an additional photographer’s mark, affixed to a card stock backer, measuring 108 mm (w) x 160 mm (h), the lower portion of the card has been cracked and reinforced on the reverse with tape, in very fine condition.
