Germany, Heer. A Krim Shield, Heer Issue

(Krimschild). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a field-grey wool backer, unmarked, the shield measuring 52.73 mm (w) x 62.02 mm (h), with minor loss of finish evident to the shield, in overall near extremely fine condition.
