Germany, Heer. A 1935 Heer EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, Reichsheer-Style, by Schmöle & Co.

(Reichsheer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of silver bronze, the obverse bearing a central Reichsheer-style German national eagle, within a ribbed ring bearing a raised inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) with laurel branches, the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs, connecting to a period original brown leather strap, maker marked on the reverse “SCHMÖLE & COMP., MENDEN”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), an example of the final Reichsheer-style buckles produced for the Wehrmacht in better than very fine condition.
