The obverse bears a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base, a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre of a grassy ground with the left tank tread extending over the edge of the badge, the top bears a national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a swastika in its talons, the reverse is plain with a vertical pinback with a round wire catch, unmarked by displaying typical manufacturing characteristics of “Frank & Reif, Stuttgart”, measuring 42.21 mm (w) x 60.25 mm (h), weighing 33 g, very fine.
