Germany, Third Reich. A DRL Sports Badge, Silver Grade, First Model

(Deutsches Reichssportabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around stylized initials “DRL” on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting flattened catch, unmarked, measuring 39.49 mm (w) x 48.64 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
