Germany, NSFK. A 1940 National Socialist Flyers Corps Zell am See Ski Competition Table Medal

(Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Erinnerungsmedaille). Constructed of lacquered and patinated feinzink, the obverse bearing a central raised NSFK insignia, topped by dates “2. U. 3. 3. 1940”, circumscribed by an inscription of “SKIWETTKÄMPFE DES NS-FLIEGERKORPS, ZELL AM SEE” (“SKI COMPETITION OF THE NATIONAL SOCIALIST FLYERS CORPS, ZELL AM SEE”), the reverse with a raised and detailed depiction of a skier, unmarked, measuring 82 mm in diameter, some chipping and loss of finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
