Austria, Empire. A Merit Cross "1849", IV Class Cross, Second Period (1875-1914)

In silver with red enamels, hallmarked with an "A" over a "1" (Vienna) and maker marked "ROZET & FISCHMEISTER / WIEN" on the ring, measuring 35.8 mm (w) x 56.5 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, chipping evident in the red enamels on the arm at 3 o'clock on the obverse, very fine.
