Germany, Ordnungspolizei. A Long Service Decoration, I Class for 25 Years, with Case

(Dienstauszeichnung der Polizei, I. Klasse für 25 Jahre mit Etui). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised Ordnungspolizei insignia on the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), unmarked, measuring 42.23 mm (w) x 47.92 mm (h), weighing 22.1 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a card stock frame with a faux green leather exterior, the lid bearing a gilded and wreathed number “25”, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted grey velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (l), with some material fatigue evident to the case, in overall extremely fine condition, accompanied by the recipient’s medal ribbon bar, featuring the decoration alongside an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, set on a 30 mm-long magnetic zink bar with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, in fair condition.
