Instituted 1913. - Silver gilt and enamels, 42 mm x 60.2 mm inclusive of its wreath suspension, large rosette on its original ribbon, dual prongs on the reverse, enamel repair in addition to chipping and loss evident on the star points on both sides, better than fine. Hardshelled case, maker marked "Arthus Bertrand PARIS" on the inside lid, raised black medal bed, scuffed, case near fine.  Footnote: Sultan Moulay Youssef established this Order on January 11, 1913. It replaced the Order of Ouissam Hafidien and became the premier Order of Morocco, awarded in five classes (Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight), in recognition of exceptional civil and military accomplishments.
