Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS EM/NCO’s Cap Eagle

(Waffen-SS Mützenadler). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with two of three attachment prongs intact, marked with a SS insignia, a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo, and contract code of “155/42”, measuring 68.34 mm (w) x 32.22 mm (h), weighing 6.4 grams, with evidence of re-refinishing in addition to the missing attachment prongs, in overall very fine condition.
