Fabricated from a thick leather, exterior with a smooth butterscotch-colour finish, straps with slits stitched in place on either side for placement around the metal posts, to secure the lid shut. The lid is stitched to the front of the pouch via a large patch, forming a hinge, emboss stamped on the top of the lid with the SA insignia above "NSDAP" in Gothic letters, a large "S" emboss stamped on the side of the lid on the non-hinged side. There are two straps riveted in place to the body of the pouch on the reverse, held in place by narrow horizontal strips, the strips themselves secured in place by rivets on either side and affixed to the body of the pouch, the ends of the straps with slits and secured around the two metal posts on the bottom, for placement upon a belt. Between the straps is a rectangular ring fed through a loop on a small tab riveted and stitched to the body of the pouch, a large "R" emboss stamped on the tab and the "G.E. LEUNER G.m.b.H. BAUTZEN" maker mark and dated "1940" emboss stamped just below on the body of the pouch. The inside has a raw leather finish, the pouch divided into ten sections with the use of a thick gray insert walls, held together via various rivets, with a corresponding schematic printed in black and red inks and pasted inside the lid: three sections along the top row labelled as: Jodtinktur 2 x 4 ccm in Pappschachtel (Tincture of Iodine 2 x 4 ccm in Cardboard Box), Seife 1 Stück in bez. Büchse (Soap 1 piece in Bez. rifle), Zinkkautschukpflaster 1 Rolle 5 m x 2,5 cm (Zinc Rubber Patches 1 roll of 5 m x 2.5 cm); the central section labelled as: 5 Stück Schnellverband in Papierbeutel 8 cm breit, 10 cm lang (5 Pieces Quick Association in Paper Bag 8 cm wide, 10 cm long); six sections along the bottom row labelled as: Augenglasstab 1 Stück / Alkalische Augensalbe 1 Tube zu 10 g / Fussschweisssalbe 2 Tuben zu 10 g / Salicylsalbe 1 Tube zu 10 g / in feldgrauer Blechschachtel (Eye Glass Rod 1 piece / Alkaline Eye Ointment 1 tube about 10 g / Foot Sweat Ointment 2 tubes containing 10 g / Salicylsalbe 1 Tube about 10 g / in a Field-Gray Metal Box), Acid. acetylosalicylic 0,5 g 20 Tabl. (Acetylosalicylic Acid 0.5 g 20 tablets), Opium 0,03 g 20 Tabl. (Opium 0.03 g 20 tablets), Rhabarber 0,5 g 15 Tabl. (Rhubarb 0.5 g 15 tablets), Cardiazol 0,1 g 20 Tabl. (Cardiazol 0.1 g 20 tablets), Natr. bicarbonicum 1 g 10 Tabl. (Natural Bicarbonate 1 g 10 tablets). An additional 19 mm wide canvas strap is dual riveted to the body of the liner on the right side. The pouch measures 88 mm x 175 mm x 100 mm in height, exhibiting a semblance of moisture soiling on the bottom, light contact, is heavily-stitched with a beautiful finish and without fabric interruption in the leather.
