Germany, NSDAP. A 1936 Dortmund Westfalen-Süd Gautag Plaque

(Gautag Westfalen-Süd Ehrenplakette). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a Dortmund skyline overlaid by a Roland figure clutching a sword, above an inscription of “GAUTAG WESTFALEN-SÜD, DORTMUND 19.-21. 1936”, in turn above a mobile swastika flanked by oak leaves, the reverse with an inscription of “EHRENPLAKETTE DER GAULEITUNG WESTFALEN-SÜD 1936, ZUM ANDENKEN” (“HONOUR PLAQUE OF GAU REGION SOUTH WESTPHALIA 1936, IN COMMEMORATION”), with a suspension loop, measuring 62 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
