Chile, Republic. A Chilean Police Force Merit Star c.1990

(Estrella de la Policía Nacional por Mérito en Servicio). Instituted 1982. A smooth five pointed multi-rayed star in silver, the obverse centre exhibiting a superposed Chilean escutcheon in red and blue enamels, encircled by an enameled green border inscribed CARABINEROS DE CHILE (Carabiniers of Chile), reverse with pin assembly, measuring 44.89 mm (w) x 44.29 mm (h), presenting toned silver and minor wear on the obverse, very good.
