Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Overhoff & Cie

(Waffen-SS Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of non-ferrous metal, the obverse bearing a central raised SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, within a pebbled and ribbed ring bearing a raised inscription of “MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE” (“MY HONOUR IS LOYALTY”), the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo, double Sig runes, and a code of “35/36” for Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with some scratching and loss of finish evident, in overall very fine condition.
