A pair of cigarette card albums, including an edition of “Ruhmesblätter Deutscher Geschichte” (“Glorious Chapters of German History”), constructed of a light card stock binding, the interior with 60 paginated pages pasted with 252 full-colour illustrations of scenes of key events in German history from the Roman occupation through to the colonization of Africa in the early 20th century, each presented with a caption in Fraktur script and with a numbered index, interspersed with brief essays on epochs in German history, each photo page separated with an intact wax paper divider, published by Eckstein-Halpaus of Dresden, measuring 240 mm (w) x 320 mm (h), with some soiling and material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition, and; an edition of “Aus Wald und Flur” (“From the Forest and Meadow”), constructed of a light card stock binding, the interior with 128 paginated pages pasted with full-coloured photographs and illustrations of trees and vegetation from around Germany, supplemented with captions and detailed descriptions, published by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst Hamburg-Bahrenfeld, measuring 235 mm (w) x 310 mm (h), with some material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition.
