(Hauptstellenleiter Uniform). A very well-preserved NSDAP Hauptstellenleiter Brownshirt-style uniform, constructed of light brown cotton twill. The shirt features an integrated collar, fully trimmed with twisted and rolled blue threaded piping, indicating Orts-level personnel. It is also flanked by dual tabs, each constructed of light brown wool, trimmed with blue threaded piping, and bearing dual L-shaped gold bullion wire tresses with mobile swastika patterns. Each tab measures 45 mm (w) x 55 mm (l). Stitched onto the upper left arm is a NSDAP armband, consisting of a red cotton base with a central white cotton disc, in turn bearing a black machine-embroidered swastika. The cuff of each sleeve is rolled up to a depth of 75 mm and held in place by a reinforced buttonhole meeting a magnetic metal button. Each button bears a raised NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a swastika. The breast flaps each feature a pocket, opening with a horizontal flap with a reinforced buttonhole meeting buttons of identical construction and composition. Above the left pocket are four horizontally-arranged threaded loops accommodating a medal ribbon bar with six decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross, a War Merit Cross with Swords, a Bavarian Order of Military Merit with Swords, an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, a Bavarian Long and Devoted Service Medal, and a Sudetenland Medal. The bar is constructed of zink, measures 105 mm in length, and features a horizontal pinback. This pocket also bears four vertically-arranged threaded loops for the accommodation of decorations with vertical pinbacks. The breast flaps close with three buttons, identical in construction and composition to the aforementioned, with two brown bakelite buttons, meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes. All metal buttons on the tunic are marked on the reverse “EXTRA FEIN”. The exterior features are completed with six pebbled and gilded magnetic metal belt hooks stitched into the structure of the lower seam. Three of the hooks bear Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logos and illegible maker codes, and one bears a RZM mark with a code of “M5/249” for Sebnitzer Knopffabrik Jos. Koch, Sebnitz. The interior presents plain with the exception of a partial white cotton liner across the shoulders, as well as a tag stitched onto the next with an illegible maker’s mark. The traces of an illegible stamp are also visible underneath the collar. The shirt measures approximately 425 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 555 mm and an overall body length of 445 mm. It is accompanied by a necktie, constructed of light brown cotton twill. The tie is unmarked and measures approximately 580 mm in length when worn. Age-appropriate soiling and material fatigue are evident to the shirt, and the armband appears to have been re-attached. A well-preserved example in an overall better than very fine condition.
