Germany, Third Reich. A Sudeten German Road Sign

(Straßenschild). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse painted white and bearing a black inscription of “RUDOLF FISCHER, KRAUTENWALDE 18, KREIS FREIWALDAU” in Fraktur script, for the village now known as Travná in the Czech district of Jeseník, topped by an integral suspension loop, measuring 350 mm (w) x 290 mm (h) (inclusive of loop), with some oxidation and loss of paint evident, in very fine condition.
