Constructed of silvered bronze, consisting of a five-pointed star with each arm completing in a ball finial, the obverse with a red painted finish, bearing a central raised monogram of Sultan Mehmed V set within a crescent moon, the reverse with horizontal backplate featuring a horizontal pinback and rounded catch, the reverse maker marked “B.B. & CO.” for an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 57.30 mm (w) x 54.84 mm (h), weighing 28.0 grams, in extremely fine condition.
