Germany, Heer. An Officer’s Dagger Hanger

(Anhänger für Offiziersdolch). A very well-preserved Heer Officer’s dagger hanger, consisting of a double silvered zink alloy loops from which are suspended dual field-grey velvet straps, the obverse of each bearing a machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire tresse, both complating in functional silvered zink alloy spring clips and adjusted with dual functional buckles of identical construction, the former bearing detailed oak leaf designs, unmarked and measuring 270 mm in total length, with minor oxidation and loss of finish evident to the zink fixtures, in overall near extremely fine condition.
