An extremely well-preserved SS Schutzpolizei Soldbuch issued to Wachtmeister Thile Matthes, constructed of a card stock binding and retaining all 40 paginated interior pages, featuring a black-and-white photo of Matthes and with handwritten entries indicating that he was born on 31 August 1904, was issued the Soldbuch on 26 December 1944, and was trained on the Karabiner 98k rifle and 7.65 mm standard-issue pistol, measuring 105 mm (w) x 152 mm (h), in near mint condition.
