Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A Pair of Badges

A pair of badges, including a War Medal of 1915, constructed of silvered bronze, consisting of a five-pointed star with each arm completing in a ball finial, the obverse with a red painted finish, bearing a central raised monogram of Sultan Mehmed V set within a crescent moon, the reverse with a block hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “FR. SEDLATZEK, BERLIN”, measuring 56.18 mm (w) x 53.89 mm (h), weighing 18.3 grams, the obverse missing most if its paint, in overall very fine condition, and; a patriotic badge, constructed of bronze, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
