(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm bearing a raised a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integral catch, unmarked, measuring 36.62 mm (w) x 44.35 mm (h), weighing 20.8 grams, accompanied by its period original package of issue, constructed of field-grey paper stock, the exterior bearing an inscription of “VERWUNDETENABZEICHEN SILBER” and a maker’s mark of “STEINHAUER & LÜCK, LÜDENSCHEID”, retaining an original wax paper insert, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), with loss of finish throughout the badge, in very fine condition.
