Constructed of bronze, the obverse with a central monogram of the German Equestrian Federation (DRV), topped by a raised depiction of a mounted horse with three others pulling a chariot, above an etched recipient’s name of “KARL RUSCH” and a raised inscription of “HAUPTVERBAND FÜR ZUCHT UND PRÜFUNG DEUTSCHER PFERDE E.V., DEUTSCHE REITERLICHER VEREINIGUNG (F.N.)” (“MAIN ASSOCIATION FOR BREEDING AND TRAINING GERMAN HORSES, GERMAN EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION”), unmarked, measuring 107 mm (w) x 93 mm (h), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed purple velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release and dual functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 145 mm (w) x 132 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), material fatigue evident to the exterior of the case, with the remnants of an adhesive present on the interior, in overall near extremely fine condition.
