Germany, Luftwaffe. A Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by F.W. Assmann & Söhne

(Luftwaffe Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of grey-painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika on a pebbled background, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws connecting to a period original brown leather strap, the latter maker marked “F.W. ASSMANN & SÖHNE, LÜDENSCHEID”, measuring 65 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
