Germany, Heer. A Heer EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Gustav Brehmer

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within a ribbed wreath bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining a brown leather strap, both the buckle and strap maker marked with the logo of Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), the buckle demonstrating consisting patina and oxidation, in better than very fine condition.
