Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Berg & Nolte

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and dual attachment claws, retaining a period original brown leather strap bearing an illegible maker’s mark, the buckle unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
