Germany, Heer. A EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 49 mm (h), with significant oxidation and deterioration evident to the upper left corner consistent with moisture damage, in poor condition.
