This album contains twenty-eight vintage photographs, which include: many of various types of aircraft, including seaplanes, on the ground and in flight, intact and crashed, one of which hangs from the top edge of a building; officers and a woman walking beside various aircraft in front of a hanger; various aircraft parts in a hanger; a battlefield landscape mockup inside a hanger; featuring men in Air Force or Navy uniforms, three of which are studio portraits; officers showing their respects at an open gravesite; a crowd at the dedication of a memorial and during a "God Save the KIng" celebration. All are in black and white, one faded to a sepia-toned look, with a gloss or matte finish, in various sizes. Also included are three postcards entitled: "Hearty Christmas Greeting To My Dear Son; At Duty's End; To The Front". The photographs and postcards are either mounted with photo corners or are glued in place, the album with twenty pages on a thick absorbent paper stock, with gray synthetic-covered and padded front and back covers, inscribed "SCRAP BOOK" on the front cover, bound by a gray string fed through dual eyelets, measuring 253 mm (w) x 305 mm (h) x 17 mm (h), near extremely fine.
