(SS Diensthose). An extremely well-preserved pair of SS black uniform service trousers, constructed of high-quality black wool. The trousers feature four belt loops set into the front of the waistband, with two additional straps set into the exterior of the reverse just beneath the waistband, which loop over and into the interior for the accommodation of optional suspenders. The waistband also features an integral belt consisting of dual side wool straps adjusted with functional magnetic metal buckles. Dual side pockets are set into the upper thighs, both opening with seamlessly hidden vertical slits. There is an additional small horizontal pocket set into the upper right front leg, with a single reverse pocket located on the same leg, closing with a black bakelite button. The trousers feature a French fly, closing with four black bakelite buttons hidden under an outer flap. Bands of white wool piping fully trim the outer edge of each leg, running from waistband to ankle. A pinstripe rayon-blended liner encompasses the interior of the waistband, and is affixed with two integral loops for the suspender straps, four black bakelite buttons, and two snap buttons with cotton-blended straps. When folded flat, the trousers measure approximately 495 mm across the waist, with an inseam of 395 mm, and an overall length of 985 mm. The trousers feature a number of marks, including a label stitched onto the exterior of the right leg bearing a LAGO Dresden mark with a manufacturer’s stamp of “OTTO BÄR, UNIF. U. BEKL. WERK, DRESDEN”, a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) label on the interior left pocket bearing a Dresden mark, and additional blacked-out marks on the interior of the right pocket. Presenting free of evident faults and retaining original labels, the trousers are in an apparently unissued and near mint condition.
