Born 11 September 1926 in Kaiserswerth, Abels served with the 22nd SS Volunteer Cavalry Division Maria Theresia. His family’s last known contact with him was on 10 February 1945 when he was in the Prague area. The request for information was filed by his family. It features a clear photo of Abels wearing a coat and NSDAP-style armband. Measuring 210 mm (w) x 150 mm (h), it is in a better than very fine condition.
