A wartime signed photo of later-Generalfeldmarschall Erwin, depicted in the uniform of a Generaloberst and with the Pour le Mérite and Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords clearly visible, with an inscription of “GENERALOBERST ROMMEL” at the lower left corner, overlaid by Rommel’s handwritten signature in black ink, the reverse in postcard format and with the studio mark of Heinrich Hoffmann, Munich, measuring 90 mm (w) x 140 mm (h), a rare wartime Rommel signature in extremely fine condition.
