Germany, Luftwaffe. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by G.H. Osang

(Luftwaffe Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of grey-painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika on a pebbled background, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws connecting to a period original brown leather strap, the latter bearing a maker’s mark og “G.H. OSANG, DRESDEN” and a date of “1942”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with some oxidation and loss of finish evident, in very fine condition.
