Germany, Luftwaffe. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Berg & Nolte

(Luftwaffe Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of grey-painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika on a pebbled background, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws connecting to a period original brown leather strap, both the buckle and strap maker marked with the logo of Berg & Nolte, Lüdenscheid, with the strap also bearing a manufacture date of “1941”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with minor loss of finish evident, in extremely fine condition.
