Germany, Heer. A Heer EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by C.W. Motz

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within a ribbed wreath bearing a raised inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining a period original brown leather strap, the strap maker marked “C.W. MOTZ, BRANDENBURG A.H.”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with some loss of finish evident, in better than very fine condition.
