(Waffen-SS Panzerjacke). A rare and extremely well-preserved Waffen-SS Unterschaführer’s panzer wrap, constructed of smooth black wool. It features an integrated collar which transitions into double breast flaps, with the former flanked on each side by tabs. Constructed of black wool, the tabs are each trimmed with rose-pink wool piping, with the right tab overlaid by machine-embroidered silver-grey Sig runes and the other pinned with a silvered bronze rank pip. The tabs both measure 45 mm (w) x 55 mm (l) and are secured in place with a row of machine stitching. The shoulders are flanked by boards, each constructed of black wool with grey wool underlays, trimmed with rose-pink wool piping, and bordered by silver aluminum wire tresses. Measuring 45 mm (w) x 105 mm (l), the straps are secured in place with reverse straps which are looped through integrated straps on the tunic, fastened with pebbled zink buttons emanating from the inner edge. Each cuff features a vertical slit with two black bakelite buttons meeting a reinforced buttonhole set into the opposite edge for a fully adjustable fit. Stitched onto the upper left arm is an insignia consisting of a black rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. The eagle insignia measures 95 mm (w) x 40 mm (h). The wrap closes with nine large and small bakelite buttons set onto the right flap meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left flap. A black cotton-blended liner fully encompasses the interior, the lower section of which features integrated cotton drawstrings and two flaps with reinforced eyelets for the accommodation of an optional belt hanger. The collar also bears an integrated loop for hanging when not in wear. Fully unmarked, the wrap measures approximately 420 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 580 mm and an overall body length of 590 mm. With the exception of minor wear to the collar tabs and wool near high-contact points, it is in an overall extremely fine condition.
