(Porzellan Figur). A unique and highly-detailed porcelain figurine depicting a decorated Wehrmacht General, constructed of glazed white porcelain, with the figure depicted in uniform and visor cap with clearly-discernible insignia, adorned with a number of decorations including a Pour le Mérite, an Iron Cross, as well as a breast star and medal bar featuring five decorations, affixed to a flattened pedestal of identical construction, the base maker marked with the logo of Karl-Heinz Klette, although the subject is unidentified it bears a resemblance to Generalfeldmarschall Erwin Rommel, measuring 73 mm (w) x 222 mm (h), chipping is evident to the glaze near the figure’s fly and lower tunic area, as well as to the seat of his pants, in an overall better than very fine condition.
MB: The maker’s mark applied to the base of the statue is of the design used by Klette between 1952-1962.
