A pair of commemorative trench art brass shell case artillery steins. Both shells are designed to appear as steins complete with handles, both handles on each are secured in place by brass pins on the side of the stein, the front of each stein with a "Ubique" artillery flaming grenade insignia. One shell is marked on the bottom "1941 (date) / 98 with the British Broad Arrow / 1 / LOT 308 / DB/C / C.F. / 25 PR. II" on the outer ring, and "No 1 / III - 41 B&B. / 12/41 / VAN / 256" on the inner ring, with a copper pin in the centre, while the other shell is marked on the bottom "1942 (date) / 449 with the British Broad Arrow / 1 and H flanked by the British Broad Arrow / C.F. / 25 PR. II" on the outer ring, and "No 11 / III / B Ltd 4 42 / RY.5-42 960 / Q ?" on the inner ring, with a copper pin in the centre. Both shells measure 102 mm in diameter at the base x 160 mm in height, the handles extending to a width of 155 mm, and weigh approximately 2.5 kilograms for the pair. Near extremely fine.
