Jordan, Kingdom. An Order of the Falcon, Commander, c.1950

In silver gilt, an eight-pointed star with ball finials, presenting delineated enameled green border with red details, surmounted by two crossed silver swords, probably denoting merit in combat, as well as by a gilded royal crown, the obverse centre exhibiting a superposed silver falcon on an enameled black background, surrounded by a gilded border inscribed by Arabic lettering in black, plain reverse with maker’s mark WORTH and silver content of 925 purity, measuring 58.73 mm (w) x 59.35 mm (h), light contact, on a neck ribbon, very good condition.
