(Der Stahlhelm Mitgliedsabzeichen) Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc overlaid by a raised Stahlhelm bearing an inscription of “DER STAHLHELM” in Fraktur script, above a silvered date of “1923” topped by oak leaves, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, etched with unit number and date of “28. 11. 28”, maker marked with the logo of Der Stahlhof, Magdeburg, measuring 30.32 mm in diameter, weighing 10.5 grams, with minor scratching of enamels and loss of silver finish evident, in better than very fine condition.
