(Militärdienstzeichen für Offiziere). Instituted in 1849. Type IV/V (1911-1913/1913-1918). In silver coat-of-arms mounted to a bronze gilt cross base, mother of pearl style backer, measuring 33.8 mm (w) x 38.2 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, scattered gilt wear and spotting, small chip in the mother of pearl backer on the tip of the reverse of the arm at 9 o'clock, replacement triangular ribbon with hook and eye, very fine.
