Germany, DRL. A DRL Sports Badge, Silver Grade, by Karl Hensler

(DRL Sportabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a ribbon overlaid by a mobile swastika, around stylized initials “DRL” on a hollow background, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked “HENSLER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 39.27 mm (w) x 48.58 mm (h), weighing 17.2 grams, with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
