Germany, Weimar Republic. A Thuringia Chamber of Industry and Commerce Merit Medal in Case

(Mittelthüringische Industrie und Handelskammer Ehrenmedaille mit Etui). Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a finely detailed depiction of a castle, the reverse bearing a central inscription of “FÜR TREUE IN DER ARBEIT” (“FOR FAITH IN LABOUR”), circumscribed by an inscription of “MITTLETHÜRINGISCHE INDUSTRIE U. HANDELSKAMMER, WEIMAR” (“CENTRAL THURINGIA CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE, WEIMAR”), the obverse designer marked “K. GOETZ”, measuring 45 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded blue rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, marked the lid liner bearing an analogous gilt inscription, with a slotted blue velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 75 mm (w) x 78 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
