Germany, Wehrmacht. A Rare Anti-Partisan Badge, Bronze Grade, by C.E. Juncker

(Bandenkampfabzeichen in Bronze). A rare Anti-Partisan Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of a bronzed zink alloy, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a raised skull and crossbones, overlaid by a vertical sword bearing a sunwheel-style swastika at the ricasso, in turn plunging into a nest of vipers, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but with the characteristics of manufacture by C.E. Juncker, Berlin, measuring 49.40 mm (w) x 58.68 mm (h), weighing 27.0 grams, with traces of bronze finish remaining, in near extremely fine condition.
