Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Uniform Insignia

(Drittes Reich Insignien). A mixed lot of uniform insignia, including a mis-matched set of Strafvollzugdienst (Prison Service) NCO boards, each constructed of a cardboard-reinforced green wool base, topped by two bands of gold bullion wire piping interspersed with green threaded chevrons, set around two bands of green rayon piping, the reverse of each with an integrated wool strap, both unmarked and measuring 30 mm (w) x 115 mm (l), in unissued and near extremely fine condition and; a Heer Gebirgsjäger EM/NCO’s sleeve badge, constructed of field-grey wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered multi-coloured edelweiss, set within a knotted silver-grey border topped by a piton, unmarked, measuring 56 mm (w) x 68 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
