Germany, Imperial. A Colonial Commemorative Medal

(Kolonial Denkmünze). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised rightward-facing profile of Kaiser Wilhelm II, flanked by a monogram, the reverse bearing an inscription of “DER TAPFEREN STREITERN FÜR DEUTSCHLANDS EHRE” (“TO THE BRAVE WARRIORS FOR GERMANY’S HONOUR”), within a laurel and oak leaf wreath and topped by a German State Crown, unmarked, measuring 32.22 mm (w) x 37.05 mm (h), weighing 16.4 grams, in extremely fine condition.
